Small, privately-owned orthodontic practice is looking for an all-around team member with a willingness to learn and acquire orthodontic skills at a fast pace.
Qualifications:
- Ideal candidate has CPR Certification and is X-Ray Certified. Ideally, 1 year minimum in orthodontics experience. Must know orthodontic terms, how to work in patients mouths comfortably and take orthodontic records.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency to be able to communicate with patients, parents and represent the office.

This person would primarily work on patients in the clinic, but is able to flex in the entire office, wherever orthodontic care is needed. Currently, our ideal candidate is available 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Tuesdays. Must be able to arrive 30 mins prior and stay 30 mins later. Reliable and consistent transportation required in all weather types. Healthcare settings mean working on federal holidays.
Responsibilities:
You will primarily be expected to work on patients of all ages, 5-85:
- Banding.
- Bonding.
- Cementing appliances.
- Impressions and Scans.
- Adjusting braces/aligners with wires, ties, steel ties, power chain, coil springs, etc.
- Taking orthodontic x-rays and pictures, scans, other records, of HIGH quality to ABO standards.
- Helping the front office team with answering calls, scheduling and presenting fees as needed.
- People-personal skills are a must, as you are the first impression of the office for patients.
- Sterilization.
- Lab work (retainers, models, appliances).
- Explaining orthodontic treatment instructions to parents smoothly, accurately, politely, and confidently.
The Care Coordinator should be able to stay the entire day, arrive appropriately to account for morning set-up and leave after evening clean-up. Positive attitude, reliability, team player, sales, communication skills, impeccable hygiene, quick learner and organizational skills are Required. The option to earn additional hours is available for marketing/community events. Doctor and team are willing to invest time and energy in the right person who is committed to excellence.
